PHANTASY HAND brings together 13 artists from around the region who work primarily with hand and line to exhibit their takes on the ancient tradition of drawing. In a post-digital contemporary art world, drawing takes on many forms. These artists give us a wide-range of perspectives on what drawing can and will be.
Artists featured: Jessica Collins, Zachary Dillon, Erica Greenwald, Emma Houck, Kate Kearney, Elliot Earl Keeley, Sarah Parker, Julien Passajou, Ricardo Vincente Jose Ruiz, Kat Toler, Jason S. Wright, Lina Zooper, Joanna Zamora
Music by DJ Decent Rescue/EF, Ronnie Teardrops, and Kendall Cahan.
— Heads Magazine started as an exhibition platform in the form of a quarterly-ish publication featuring artists from all around the world. The magazine is curated by word of mouth invitations from the curators and the contributors and an open door policy for artists or makers looking for a chance to show their work. Billed as a «Safe place to show weirdo art,» there is no need for prestige, a cv or even a background in art, just a desire to share something you have made with the world. It has grown into a network of passionate people from all different backgrounds with the magazine acting as the record of that connection.
Heads Magazine is curated and published by Jason Wright and Julien Passajou and issue #7 features all the artists exhibiting in PHANTASY HAND along with dozens of artists from around the world. Heads #7 will be available at the opening and in the Goodyear Arts shop for the duration of the show.
— PHANTASY HAND will be on display in the Goodyear Arts gallery from July 13- August 4. Goodyear Arts has open hours every Friday from 6-9pm.
