Have you heard of Plogging? It's a Swedish exercise trend that pairs picking up trash with jogging; an easy way to get your run on while making a difference in your community and helping the environment! This week we are partnering up with the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation
to try our hand at cleaning up our beloved running routes! Plogging is not mandatory, but if you should choose to grab a bag and some gloves to bring with you on your run, we'll give you a little 'thank you' gift when you come back with your trashy contribution!
After your run, check out the Sport Science
table! They'll have some sweet giveaways for you, and we'll be voting on your favorite types of running gear for our next round of NoDa Run Club shirts! We want YOUR opinion, so tell us what you like!
Our routes are marked with color coded arrows, or you can pick up a printout of our turn by turn directions for simple navigation. As always, be courteous to our neighbors while running by making sure to look both ways before darting into traffic, running off to the side and letting cars pass, and be sure to give our neighbors a wave as you run by! 👋🏼
We all run the first mile together, and here are the Strava
links for the 3 and 5 mile routes. Feel free to save them for simple navigation!
