Film Lineup:

...
Title: Ghatakan

Synopsis: A man recollects about a tragic incident that leaves him with nothing but greed and a vague image of a gunman who tried to kill him. Ghatakan, which means 'Assassin' in Malayalam, is made as a tribute to the Malayalam Action Films that came about in the 1970s. These films were characterized by over-the-top action sequences with dramatic storylines and dialogues. With the entry of Krishnan Nair, better known by his stage name Jayan, the Malayalam film industry saw the rise of a new wave of action films that took the industry by storm. He is, and always will be, our first action here. Ghatakan was made with the intent of giving a mini-cinematic experience to the viewers within the short film format.

In a distinctively Chinese approach, the work treats narrative, text, sound and image as integrated poetic devices.
