April 27th 10:00 am – 04:00 pm

Reed Gold Mine has changed the annual Heritage Days into «Geology and Mining» for school groups interested in a STEM based program focused on mining in North Carolina. Students will follow a trail around the site which will stop at various locations describing historic mining methods and significant geological samples. Groups will also pan for gold, visit our restored 19th century mine, and view a visiting exhibit focused on World War I. This special event is only offered once a year!

Cost $2.14 per student 8 and older for panning.

Please share this with local teachers in Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Rowan and Stanly Counties. For more details or to register for the event contact [email protected] or 704-721-4653.

***Note: You MUST register ahead to attend this event.***
