The Homegrown Tomato Festival: An all-day tomato themed event where tomato lovers can try dozens of different backyard tomatoes, crown the region’s best tomato grower, drink tomato themed cocktails, enjoy live music and more!

This event is a fundraiser for 100 Gardens, a Charlotte based 501c3 that teaches agriculture and aquaponics in local schools, correctional institutions and also in Haiti. We are accepting vendors and backyard growers to participate in the Homegrown Tomato Festival!
To participate in the Backyard Tomato Competition click the «For Growers» tab to the left. Growers get to compete at no cost and must be able to provide at least 10 pounds of tomatoes to sample to people at the event and 5 pounds to donate to the Tomato Sandwich fundraiser. Applications are due by May 29th.
To become a vendor click the «For Vendors» tab to the left. Vendors can sell anything related to food, art or education. All vendors must be approved by the Homegrown Tomato Festival team. Applications are due by May 29th.
